Most sellers have no idea how important staging is. Staging your home could mean selling your home in 1 week vs. months. One of the problems today is we have so many TV shows on how to 'Flip It', 'Sell This House' , and on and on. So now, because of these shows, homes no longer sell like they used to sell. I can remember when you would never think of telling someone, "you need to take all that clutter off of your refrigerator".
People watch these shows and for good reason. These shows have great ideas and the experts know what they are talking about. Yes, they know the market. They are the experts and they work with buyers. Realtors hear all the objections. Objections that you would never think about.
So now, what's the result from all these programs? Buyer's mindset and expectations! Yep...they are turned off if they go in a home that is cluttered, needs paint, and on and on. They will tear your home apart! If's a no brainer...so guess what you need to do? Stage!
And OH...remember this....'the way you live and the way to sell are two different things'. YOU have got to have the mindset of a buyer and detach yourself from your home as the owner.
